Investigator Receives Nancy Moody Law Enforcement Award of Excellence

COLUMBIA, SC — Mary Gasque, Rotary District Governor Elect announced The Five Points Rotary Club will be awarding the Nancy M Moody Law Enforcement Award of Excellence to Investigator Cassie Radford with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, June 16, at the Club meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn on Pickens Street in Columbia, SC.

Nancy was a Rotarian for 30 years, serving in many leadership positions; was a Past President of Five Points Rotary and as Past District Governor of Rotary District 7770. Nancy’s career was working as the Director of the Victim/Witness Unit and as an Associate Probate Judge for Richland County. After retirement she remained active as a Certified Family Court Mediator and a Certified Crises Responder for Richland County.

Nancy lost her battle with cancer on September 27, 2022. Because of her support of the Richland County Judicial System, Sheriff Lott and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, the Five Points Rotary Club wanted to honor Nancy and those she supported.

This is the first year of presenting the Nancy M Moody Law Enforcement Award. The Five Points Rotary Club will be making this an annual event.
