Jake Modla Joins Cromer Babb Porter & Hicks, Firm Expands to Rock Hill

Jake Modla has joined CBPH as Senior Counsel. The firm has expanded to Rock Hill, where Jake primarily practices at 115 Elk Avenue in the heart of downtown.

Jake is licensed and actively practices law in both North Carolina and South Carolina. His practice involves representing litigants in York County and surrounding counties (Mecklenburg, Chester, Cherokee, Lancaster, Union, Gaston).

Jake has been practicing employment and labor law since 1990, first as an employer-side lawyer and corporate general counsel, and more recently as an attorney on behalf of working people across the Carolinas.

Jake brings extensive knowledge and experience and is also full-tilt aligned with CBPH’s mission to broaden access to justice for working people, from store clerk to CEO, as a full-service, employee-side employment law firm.

Cromer Babb Porter & Hicks, LLC is an employment law firm headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, and practices state-wide. CBPH was founded in 2017 by J. Lewis Cromer, Jay Babb, Paul Porter, and Ryan Hicks. The firm succeeded J. Lewis Cromer & Associates of Columbia, South Carolina. Currently, the firm has eight lawyers practicing employment law.
