James Devereaux Joins Schnabel Engineering as Senior Associate Engineer

Schnabel Engineering hires James Devereaux as a Senior Associate Engineer in the firm’s Columbia, SC, office. In his new position, Devereaux will focus on expanding Schnabel’s transportation and dam safety engineering practice in the southeast region and across the United States. He will also provide technical support including design, installation, data collection, interpretation, and analysis of geotechnical instrumentation on a variety of geotechnical and interdisciplinary projects.

Devereaux’s technical expertise includes geotechnical transportation and geotechnical dam safety engineering, specifically in designing shallow and deep foundations for various structures, performing seepage investigations, and conducting forensic site characterizations.

A registered Professional Engineer (PE) in several states and National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record Holder, Devereaux received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering from University of South Carolina – Columbia.
