COLUMBIA, S.C. – (July 25, 2018) - South State Bank has selected Jessica Turner to lead the company’s Regulatory Relations and Corporate Insurance department.
Turner has more than 20 years of experience in banking operations management, project and change management, as well as process improvement, which equip her to serve as the bank’s liaison with the regulatory agencies, as well as insurance agents and carriers. In her role, she will coordinate all regulatory examinations for the company, as well as track any resulting recommendations or findings to closure.
She comes to this role having most recently served as a vendor management specialist for the bank, providing vendor oversight and tracking, as well as performing vendor risk assessments.
Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clemson University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.
She is a certified Six Sigma green belt and holds numerous distinctions in the banking field. She is a graduate of Leadership Columbia and has served as a Leadership Columbia Advisory Board member.
