Rich Fields and Lynn Ray from Labor Finders of Columbia, SC presents a check to the Oliver Gospel Mission's Rev. Fields.
Columbia, SC— Summer months are a struggle for charities. People tend to open their wallets around the holiday season (which is important,) but charities operate year-round and for numerous reasons the summer season is always difficult for charities to collect much needed funds. Which makes the following donation even more important.
Two of Columbia’s oldest and finest establishments recently came together, The Oliver Gospel Mission received a major donation from Labor Finders in the amount of $3,500.00.
Labor Finders opened as a family business in June of 1988 by Ken Elbert and his son-in-law, Richard Fields. The family chose Labor Finders, a franchise organization, because it gave them a way to fulfill God’s purpose by helping South Carolina companies succeed while providing work opportunities for people in need at the same time. Richard who is the President of Labor Finders South Carolina, Inc., a West Point graduate and service-connected disabled veteran has been running the South Carolina Labor Finders franchise since 1989.
There is an old business expression that numbers do not lie; well, the following numbers are impressive: over the past 30 years in Columbia, more than 10,000 businesses have trusted Labor Finders for their staffing needs. In addition, Labor Finders provided employment opportunities for over 20,000 South Carolinians.
As a way of thanking the people of Columbia for their continuing support for over 30 years, Labor Finders donated $.30 for each hour billed in Columbia during the month of June to the Oliver Gospel Mission, which has been helping the homeless for over 125 years. And, the timing of the donation could not have been better, because since it is summer and donations trickle-in, this donation from Labor Finders will assist in transforming the lives that depend on the Oliver Gospel Mission.
