COLUMBIA, SC— On April 4, 2019 from 12pm to 4pm, LendingTree Alumni Associates hosted a recruiting fair at the University of South Carolina. On Greene Street, students at the University had the opportunity to speak with company employees, to learn more about potential careers with LendingTree. Participants were also given the opportunity to make a difference in the Columbia Community through participation in a basketball competition.
During the recruiting fair, LendingTree provided free food, and the opportunity for students to participate in a 3-point competition to raise money for Ronald McDonald House in Columbia, SC. The rules of the contest stipulated that each 3-point shot successfully made would result in a $50 donation to RMHC Columbia, SC.
After a day full of fun and friendly competition, the event resulting in the fundraising of $10,000 for the Ronald McDonald House, which will be presented at 10am on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 2901 Colonial Drive. The check will be presented by LendingTree’s President, Neil Salvage.
The Ronald McDonald House Columbia, SC opened May 18, 1983 and in 1996, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Columbia, SC was formed, merging Pediatric Family Services of the Midlands and Ronald McDonald Children's Charities.
