Physician Will Practice at Chapin Family Practice
West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center is proud to welcome Javier E. Carles, MD, to the hospital’s network of care. Dr. Carles will work at Chapin Family Practice.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Dr. Carles earned his medical degree from the USC School of Medicine in Columbia. He then completed a family medicine residency at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.
Dr. Carles is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has more than 15 years of experience providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. With specialized training in wound care and hyperbarics, he most recently cared for patients at Laurens Family Medicine in Laurens, South Carolina, and worked for MinuteClinic®. He has also served as director of Hospice of South Carolina and as an assistant professor of family medicine at USC.
Dr. Carles proudly joins highly skilled physicians, nurse practitioners and staff at Chapin Family Practice. The practice has served families in its community for more than 35 years by providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages.
