West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center is pleased to welcome Leon J. Khoury, Jr., MD, FACC, to Lexington Cardiology’s Northeast Columbia location. Dr. Khoury will work with the board-certified physicians there to provide the highest level of services in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Khoury is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and he is an American College of Cardiology Fellow, and a member of the American Medical Association and South Carolina Medical Association.
He has provided quality patient care in the Midlands for more than 25 years, including non- invasive procedures and consultative echocardiograms, stress tests, stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests and vascular ultrasounds. He also has extensive experience diagnosing, treating and managing cardiovascular and vascular disease, abnormal heart rhythms, hypertension, high cholesterol and lipid issues.
A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Dr. Khoury earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He then completed an internal medicine internship at Salem Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, and an internal medicine residency at USC. Following his residency, he completed a cardiology fellowship at USC.
