West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center is pleased to welcome Venkata Sai Bhavana Chinnakotla, MD, to the hospital’s network of care at Lexington Endocrinology. Dr. Chinnakotla joins the board-certified physicians and skilled staff at Lexington Endocrinology to provide comprehensive consultations, treatments and management for patients with diabetes and other endocrine-and thyroid-related disorders. The practice works with primary care providers to ensure their patients receive comprehensive care to quickly and effectively manage their conditions.

Dr. Chinnakotla earned her medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India, and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She then completed an endocrinology followship at the University of Missouri.

Board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, Dr. Chinnakotla is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society. She has experience evaluating, diagnosing and treating complications of diabetes, as well as other endocrine disorders such as high cholesterol, thyroid function and osteoporosis. She most recently served as an assistant professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine at the University of Missouri.
