Local GREEN Charter School of the Midlands Seeks Food Donations

October 1, 2019 – GREEN Charter School of the Midlands is hosting a food drive to collect dry goods, canned goods and personal items for the month of October, 2019 between 8:00am and 4:00pm in the main office at GREEN Charter School of the Midlands 7820 Broad River Road Irmo, SC 29063.

Area residents are invited to make a difference in our local community by donating to the food drive and helping GREEN Charter School of the Midlands reach their goal of collecting 250 pounds of food.

“We are so excited about our upcoming food drive and hope the community will support us. There are thousands in just South Carolina struggling to feed their families. Everything we collect through this food drive will go to Harvest Hope Food Bank to support those in our community. Even a small donation, can make a big difference. $10 feeds one person through Harvest Hope’s Emergency Food Pantry and $100 can provide up to 500 meals. We look forward to seeing how much our students and community can help support our local food bank” says Principal John Adams.

Residents looking to support the food drive can donate items such as canned meats, vegetables, fruits, tomato sauce, beans, soup, evaporated milk and pop-top cans, dry goods such as peanut butter, instant potatoes, pasta, oatmeal, coffee, granola bars and other items such as baby formula, diapers, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
