CARF International, an independent, non-profit accreditor of health and human services has announced that LRADAC, the Lexington/Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council, has once again been accredited for a period of three years for its full offering of inpatient and outpatient substance misuse treatment programs including detoxification and prevention services. This is the latest three-year accreditation award that CARF International has given to LRADAC, a consistent accomplishment received for over two decades.

“A healthcare organization receiving a three-year accreditation puts itself through a rigorous peer-review process, demonstrating to a team of surveyors a commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality,” said Wendy Hughes, President and CEO of LRADAC. “We are so pleased that the CARF surveyors were able to see and experience the highly competent and professionalism of LRADAC’s programs and services and our staff’s unwavering passion and commitment to our patients and the communities we serve.”

As an independent, nonprofit accrediting body, CARF’s mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services. For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the CARF website at www.carf.org.
