Columbia, August 2020 – Mary Winter Teaster of Colliers International | South Carolina has been elected by Baptist Healthcare System to serve on the Prisma Health-Midlands Board of Directors.
“It is my privilege to serve Prisma Health in another capacity and support the incredible team of physicians, staff and volunteers who put into action the healthcare system’s purpose statement to inspire health, serve with compassion and be the difference across South Carolina,” Teaster said. “The care of individuals and families throughout our community has always been top priority of the health care system and the challenges of COVID-19 make it an even more urgent time to support our frontline heroes in health care.”
In the Midlands, Prisma Health has nearly 15,000 team members, physicians and volunteers providing care through the Prisma Health hospital system, which includes: Prisma Health Baptist Hospital, Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital, Prisma Health Children's Hospital, Prisma Health Heart Hospital, Prisma Health Richland Hospital and Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
“Mary Winter is a dedicated and successful commercial real estate professional, but equally as important, she upholds Colliers’ core value of community service,” said John Folsom, President and CEO of Colliers International | South Carolina. “Her long-term and passionate volunteer leadership for Prisma Health and other organizations serves as an example for us all.”
Teaster is a Senior Brokerage Associate and member of the office brokerage team who specializes in serving and advising local small business owners and nonprofits. In addition to her involvements with Prisma Health, she is a multi-year board member and former chair of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina - Mountains to Midlands and remains active with the Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) in volunteer and board service. She is a founding board member and former chair of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Midlands.
