Skillman will serve as the creative and directional guide for clients to tell their story through his gifted writing, thoughtful planning and innovative marketing. He joins MPA after eight years in corporate communications with AgFirst Farm Credit Bank and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, where he served as a media relations strategist and a spokesperson.
Before his position at BlueCross, Skillman worked as a sports anchor and news producer in television news for eight years.

Skillman has received several industry awards from the S.C. Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA), the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC-SC) and the American Advertising Federation (AAF). He also received three Associated Press awards during his time in television news.
Originally from Hendersonville, North Carolina, Skillman graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in electronic journalism. He currently serves as board President for Palmetto Place Children and Youth Services and is a longtime member of SCPRSA and IABC-SC.
