COLUMBIA, SC — The South Carolina National Guard Foundation (SCNGF) is pleased to announce that $76,000 in scholarships was awarded to 75 deserving recipients this past June. Recipients were honored at a scholarship luncheon held last month in Columbia, South Carolina.
The Foundation is honored to fund $76,000 in scholarships to these very deserving students. There was a record number of applicants this year and funding would not have been possible without the generous support from Foundation donors.
The SCNGF serves all members of the South Carolina Army and Air National Guard, Veterans and their Families. Established in 1989, the SCNGF began with a sole purpose to fund scholarships. Today, the Foundation funds diverse programs to support the military, Guard members, their Families, and survivors in addition to continuing to provide scholarships.
There are approximately 10,000 Service Members in the South Carolina National Guard. By providing the assistance they need, South Carolina National Guard members can remain focused on serving the citizens of our great state of South Carolina and around the world. Funds raised by the Foundation are placed back in the hands of South Carolina National Guard members and their Families.
