Columbia, S.C., May 17, 2018- The Salvation Army of the Midlands will be celebrating National Salvation Army Week next week from Monday, May 21 to Sunday, May 27. Throughout the week, several events will be hosted as a way for The Salvation Army to say 'thank you' to the community for their support throughout the year. Please see below for a list of key events.
Salvation Army Open House: Want to learn more about what The Salvation Army does in the Midlands and how you can get involved? Stop by the open house for a chance to read client stories, tour the facility, learn about programs and chat with staff and board members. Monday, May 21 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at The Salvation Army Center for Worship and Service (3024 Farrow Rd, Columbia, SC 29203).
Partner Night at Local Restaurants: Salsarita's (Five Points, Harbison, Killian Rd, West Columbia) - 15% of Dine-In proceeds go to Salvation Army. Wild Wing Café (Vista) - 10% of proceeds from receipts put in the box between 6 PM - 8 PM go to Salvation Army. Wednesday, May 23.
Youth Night: All youth in the community (ages 4-18) are invited for youth night. There will be games, food and lots of fun! Thursday, May 24 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at The Salvation Army Center for Worship and Service.
Community Night: This is the perfect event for the entire family! Enjoy a free dinner, games for the kids, fellowship, music and worship. Friday, May 25 from 5 PM - 8 PM at The Salvation Army Center for Worship and Service.
