New Library Location Opens Its Doors in Richland County

Richland County LibraryAfter several months of construction, Richland Library has added a new location to the Hopkins community. On Wednesday, December 18, staff held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and invited the community to take a look at the new building, which transformed from a former medical office into our 13th library location.

The nearly 2,600 square-foot structure, located at 9019 Garners Ferry Road, offers customers the following, enhanced spaces:

CHILDREN'S AREA: Inspire lifelong learning, get your kids ready for kindergarten or build reading muscles in our new Children's Area.

The upgrades are part of the more than $500,000 project that was planned for the Lower Richland location. It was made possible, thanks to the library's general funds, funding from Richland County Council and the sale of the former Richland Library Sandhills building.
