Columbia, S.C. – NP Strategy recently welcomed Myles Taste as the newest addition to the rapidly growing strategy consulting and communications firm. A South Carolina native, Taste is familiar with the quickly expanding and developing Columbia area – as well as its long, rich history.
“We are thrilled to welcome such a bright, hardworking, and dedicated young man to our team,” said Leighton Lord, NP Strategy’s Managing Director. “Myles is a natural at solving problems and understanding client needs.”
Myles joins the NPS+ team with a Bachelor’s from the University of Alabama, where he graduated from UA’s prestigious honors college. His degree in Political Science accompanies a minor in Journalism and Creative Media. Additionally, Myles was an active member of the Student Government Association at Alabama, serving as director of the President’s Council.
“Myles’ experience in leadership, his writing ability and his journalist’s approach to asking questions and finding answers will serve as a beneficial resource to both our team and clients,” said NP Strategy Director Heather Matthews.
In 2018-19, Taste served as a featured writer for the University of Alabama’s student newspaper, The Crimson White. (He also isn’t a totally new face around the NPS+ office: he previously worked for Nexsen Pruet in staff roles throughout his undergraduate career.)
“The opportunity to apply my academic background in not only journalism and creative media but also political science to real-world stakeholders and clients fascinates me,” said Taste. “It’s an even greater opportunity to work alongside the lineup of former journalists and business communicators at NP Strategy.”
Taste will be working with NP Strategy clients ranging from nonprofits to global corporations to ensure their message resonates with the desired audience. He will be based in the Columbia, SC office, but will travel as needed to NP Strategy’s additional offices in North and South Carolina.
