Site first of its kind to provide an easily accessible public directory of foster care providers and services in SC and helpful information for families seeking assistance
COLUMBIA, SC - This month, the Palmetto Association for Children and Families (PAFCAF) will launch the first publicly searchable database of foster care providers and services in South Carolina. The first-of-its-kind directory will be a resource for individuals interested in becoming a foster parent or adoptive parent, a kinship caregiver or families seeking services. Those utilizing the database will be able to easily locate an agency that is right for them in their community, allowing a streamlined process for those seeking services in South Carolina.
Families will also be able to search for private placement options for youth, as well as prevention services and community-based services.
Members of the public will have access to this directory simply by visiting PAFCAF ’s webpage at www.pafcaf.org.
This site provides private agencies’ contact information, the types of programs and services offered, and other important information to help families wishing to become foster families and families seeking services. It also allows individuals seeking resources and information to search by zip code or county in order to find the agency closest to them and will offer up-to-date website links, so an individual can easily and quickly navigate the website and identify and access the resources they need right there in their community.
“PAFCAF is excited to offer this type of database to our communities across South Carolina,” said PAFCAF CEO Erin Hall. “This tool will offer members of the community who wish to foster or adopt or are looking for services available to their own families an easy and accessible database of our members.”
