Palmetto Health now is accepting applications for its 2018 Junior Volunteer program at Palmetto Health Baptist and Palmetto Health Richland hospital campuses. The Junior Volunteer program begins Monday, June 4 and ends Friday, July 27. To participate, individuals must be between 14-17 years of age. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 13.
To ensure all communications related to the program are reaching the candidates, all information is sent to a parent or guardian’s email address. Only applications with all required forms completed and submitted to the Volunteer office will be considered. Individuals will be informed of the status of acceptance into the program Friday, May 4. Once accepted, a mandatory online orientation will be offered and must be completed by Friday, April 27. Junior Volunteers will be required to attend an information session Monday, May 21, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Due to the overwhelming response of the dedicated youth in our community, we will first accept those students who participated in the program last summer, and will then accept new applicants in the order in which their application is completed in its entirety. There are a limited number of openings available for the program.
