Palmetto Health hosts free Zumba in the Park event Friday, July 13

This is first time event is being held in Sumter

Palmetto Health presents Zumba in the Park Friday, July 13, 7-9 p.m., USC Sumter, adjacent to soccer field, 200 Miller Rd., Sumter, South Carolina. This free event is open to the entire community and will feature a professional DJ, free bottled water, snacks and door prizes.

“We started this event a few year ago as a fun way to remind the community to protect their health by being active. We are excited to bring it to Sumter for the first time,” said Tammie Epps, Palmetto Health media relations manager and Zumba instructor. “There are more than 20 Zumba instructors from both Sumter and Columbia who are coming to dance with the entire community. It’s free so come out and join us!”

The theme of this month’s event is “We are all super heroes,” so feel free to show up representing your favorite super hero.
