Columbia, SC, October 24, 2018 – Colliers International’s Philip Vann was elected to the Children’s Trust of South Carolina Board of Directors.
“Being elected to serve on the Children’s Trust of South Carolina’s Board of Directors is a tremendous honor,” said Vann, Brokerage Associate for Colliers International. “I am proud to be a part of an organization that plays a tremendous role in collaborating with and funding various programs across the state which strengthen families and prevent child abuse, neglect and injuries.”
Vann was first introduced to the Children’s Trust of South Carolina through representing them as a client. In 2016, Vann was asked to join the Development Committee of the Board while he was in the process of submitting a Board application. He has served on the Development Committee for two years. His participation also includes work on the Children’s Trust Gala and helping reach out to sponsors or obtain silent auction donations. He has also assisted on this year’s Strike Out Child Abuse event at a Fireflies game.
Children’s Trust of South Carolina is the only statewide organization that focuses on the prevention of child abuse, neglect and injury. It strives to keep children safe by collaborating with a variety of state and local partners, training people in various organizations to work with children and families, leading community outreach, advocating for legislative level policies and research and evaluation of findings to develop a deeper understanding of what needs to be done and why.
Vann is a member of the Colliers office brokerage team and specializes in tenant advisory services.
