Qwerkz Partners with Future of Work Initiative as Job Placement Resource
Key Piece to the Upskilling and Reskilling Puzzle Added
Columbia, SC: Today Qwerkz, a technology driven staffing company specializing in underrepresented and diverse talent, announced its newest partnership with Louisville Future of Work Initiative. Qwerkz will work with FWI affiliated program Candidates to place them in aligned industry job roles following their program completion.
Qwerkz Chief Recruiting Officer, Howard Kaplin, who is based out of Louisville and an IT staffing industry veteran, had this to say about the partnership. “I’ve seen FWI grow since they started, and their efforts have been incredible! Maintaining their programs through the pandemic and preparing needed talent has been inspiring. Qwerkz is excited to bring what we feel is a vital piece to the process, which is post program job placement. FWI is filling a critical role, which is helping put new talent into the marketplace. Our goal is to take that talent and insure it finds job opportunities in the industry those Candidates have trained for. Qwerkz has a core focus to support underrepresented and diverse talent, which aligns perfectly with FWI and their mission”
When asked about the new partnership, FWI Executive Director Alisia McClain said “Ultimately, our goal is not just to provide training in data science but to move participants into family-supporting jobs in Louisville’s data economy. That’s why we are excited to partner with Qwerkz to provide job placement services for each candidate that has graduated from an FWI-supported program. We see this intentionality as necessary to our forward momentum in creating a diverse tech/data workforce and we look forward to working together to accomplish that goal”.
Qwerkz CEO Corey Jackson had this to say, "We are excited to be partnering with Future Work Initiative to place diverse talent in new and exciting careers. Qwerkz looks forward to being a resource to similar organizations in Columbia and surrounding areas.”
