Qwerkz was founded in late 2016 by former NFL athlete and now tech entrepreneur, Corey Jackson. Over the years Qwerkz has been known for helping former athletes find new career opportunities. They have partnered with companies like 84 Lumber, a multi-billion dollar lumber company, Major League Baseball and Microsoft Future Of Work.

Now, Qwerkz is focusing on developing technology to help small businesses find top local talent. CEO and Founder Corey Jackson believes that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the key to boosting and growing local economies. Jackson says, "Since Covid-19 and the implantation of remote work, many small businesses have been struggling to find adequate help. Many small businesses don't have the luxury of hiring remote workers because much of the work must be done on site."

The Qwerkz platform offers unique options for job seekers to find work that fits their lifestyles. It's perfect for the person looking for a gig for the week to get some extra cash and for the person looking for full-time employment.

Jackson says, "We noticed that most people in today's economy want options and flexibility more than anything. So, we wanted to make sure we provided those options. The overall goal is to help make communities and local economies stronger and better for everyone."

Qwerkz will be working with the City Of Columbia, The Department Of Economic Development and many local businesses in Columbia and surrounding areas. Visit Qwerkzjobs.com for more information.

Ryan Coleman, Director at The City of Columbia, stated, “Through our work in economic development, we see across all businesses and industries that talent is the number one factor driving the decision-making process. That’s just one of the reasons we’re so excited to see how Qwerkz's new application is positively impacting small businesses and job seekers. Not only does this provide our community with another arrow in the quiver when it comes to talent attraction and retention, but we also get the added benefit of supporting one of our local, homegrown businesses here in the City of Columbia in the process. We look forward to supporting the growth of Qwerkz in the years to come.”
