Rachel H. Evatt Receives College Scholarship From Workers’ Compensation Insurer

SCHB Self Insurers Fund is pleased to announce that Rachel Evatt of Columbia, SC is the recipient of a $1,000 award from the SCHB Self Insurers Fund 2019 Scholarship Program. An independent panel of judges selected Rachel based on her commitment to educational excellence, community service, and extracurricular activities. A graduate of Dreher High School, Rachel will continue her studies in business at Wofford College during her sophomore year. She is the daughter of Katie and Jim Evatt who is the owner of Palmetto Construction and Renovation.

SCHB Self Insurers Fund, established in 1995 by leaders within the South Carolina residential and commercial construction industry, provides workers’ compensation insurance coverage to over 1,150 residential and commercial construction industry contractors and subcontractors throughout South Carolina. SCHB Self Insurers Fund awards scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors, high school graduates, and current college students who are the child or dependent of a current SCHB Self Insurers Fund policyholder or of a policyholder’s employee.
