For companies seeking to retain and develop their best and highest potential employees, the 2021 High Potentials professional development program will prepare rising stars to become their organizations' next generation of leaders. Application of the material in their current roles will also have immediate impact for the firm. CEOs and business owners from the Midlands and LowCountry commissioned this program, and 18 or the 22 seats are filled by their top performers. To create a more diverse cohort, a few additional seats are reserved for open enrollment.
“Simply adding a star performer to a team boosts the effectiveness of other team members by 5-15%. No wonder, then, that study after study shows stronger financial performance in companies that make proportionately greater investments in identifying and developing top talent.” — Harvard Business Review
In response to repeated requests from CEOs, Presidents and business owners who participate in Vistage 'Mastermind' groups across the US and around the world, the curriculum was designed to accelerate the growth of top-performing managers and individual contributors into well-rounded business leaders equipped to execute on high-level, cross-disciplinary initiatives and lead teams effectively.
Unlike other leadership programs that squeeze material into a few back-to-back days and leave implementation at risk, Vistage emerging leaders focus on one topic over each 60-day period of the program to encourage mastery. Participants will be challenged to advance their careers within your company, rather than seek outside opportunities.
Sessions meet for a full day every other month. Topic experts are flown in to conduct workshops on leadership competencies, including Critical Thinking & Decision-Making, Self-Awareness, Execution, Communication, Performance Management, Team Management and Business Finance.
This is the only Vistage Emerging Leader program in South Carolina. Participants currently include companies from Lexington, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Mt Pleasant, Walterboro, Savannah and Jacksonville - a total of 18 participants already enrolled.
Registration for the 4 remaining seats is first-come, first serve. Enrollees for 2021 will also be welcome to join our final 2020 session on Finance & Accounting basics on Dec 15, 2020.
