Columbia, SC – South Carolina Representative Cezar McKnight (D-Williamsburg) has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Morris Brown College.
A historically black college located in Atlanta, Georgia, Morris Brown College’s mission is to prepare graduates to lead purposeful and fulfilling lives by providing high academic programs through experiential, collaborative and discovery-based learning in a nurturing environment.
McKnight, a graduate of the college, will begin his three-year term at the next meeting of the Board of Trustees, expected to take place in August.
“It’s truly an honor to give back to my alma mater. I look forward to working with the other members of the Board of Trustees and Interim President Kevin James as we keep the college on firm financial footing, complete the process to regain accreditation, and make Morris Brown College the best it can be,” said McKnight.
