Richland, Lexington Counties to Hold B2B Matchmaker Event for Suppliers
(Richland PIO) – Economic development officials in Richland and Lexington counties are teaming up for the second annual Business-2-Business Supplier Matchmaker Event on April 23 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
Aimed at pairing supplier companies in both counties with large employers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the event will take place in a speed-dating format. Large employers and OEMs will pre-select suppliers for 10-minute, one-on-one meetings to see whether the companies would be a match for future business.
Companies including Jushi USA, Dominion Energy, Flex and CMC Steel took part in the event in 2019.
“I would say that this is a great way to get out, know who your neighbors are, meet them face-to-face and make those connections,” said Joshua Lustman, a sales executive for Alimex Precision in Aluminum. “You may end up with a new customer at the end of the day.”
The meetings will run from 1 to 4 p.m., with a networking reception to follow from 4 to 5 p.m.
The event is free for companies to attend, but they must register by Feb. 28. To register, visit richlandcountysc.com or https://2020richlandlexingtonb2bsupplierevent.eventbrite.com.
