“Over the past 25 years of CreateAthon, we’ve had the opportunity to meet an incredible number of people who have dedicated their lives to serving others by working on profound social issues,” said Teresa Coles, president of Riggs Partners and CreateAthon co-founder. “This experience has given us a close-up view of humanity at its best, and an appreciation of the role effective communications plays in solving a human need. Making the decision so many years ago to put our communications skills to work for good has become part of the DNA of our firm, and we are all better for it. That’s the legacy of CreateAthon.”
Riggs Partners founded CreateAthon in 1998 as an innovative way to provide pro bono marketing services to nonprofits in South Carolina. The program has achieved significant impact since its national expansion in 2002, attracting more than 100 agencies, universities, professional organizations and corporate marketing departments throughout the world as CreateAthon partners.
