(COLUMBIA, SC) March 18, 2019 – On March 29, 2019 organizations around the Columbia area will come together at Ronald McDonald House Charities’ (RMHC) Spring Fling to aid in a community wide repair and upkeep effort. Around one hundred community partners and volunteers will bring their time and talents to donate thousands of dollars’ worth of service benefiting families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
One of the families who recently stayed at the House will be speaking around lunch time to share their experience with RMHC. This will allow volunteers to see firsthand the impact RMHC has on its community and establish a connection with its mission.
Spring Fling is a demonstration of how the Columbia community unites to support families in need. RMHC hopes to show the value of this collaborative effort by having local media attend and promote its purpose.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Throughout the day volunteers will work in shifts to help around the House however they can. All volunteers will be provided breakfast and lunch.
For over 36 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Columbia, SC has been a place for families to be together during their time of need in the hospital. These are families of children with cancer, families of newborn babies, families of children who have been in a traumatic accident- all families fighting for their child’s life. RMHC prioritizes the gift of togetherness and allows families to focus on what matters most, their child.
