“Roots & Boots & Balloons” Tickets Onsale Now

Bowman, SC – Yonder Field has announced that a family-oriented event, Roots & Boots & Balloons, will take place on Saturday, August 24. The event is produced by Swamp Buck Entertainment, an event-production company based in Orangeburg, SC. Swamp Buck Entertainment has produced several country music concerts in the Charleston area, and this will be their first event at Yonder Field.

This full day of family fun includes Roots & Boots 90s Electric Throwdown and tethered Hot-Air Balloon Rides. Kids 12 & under get in free. Orangeburg County Library will be on-hand to give out Free Books to Kids.

The Roots & Boots 90s Electric Throwdown is a wildly successful North American tour featuring multi-platinum country hit-makers Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, and Collin Raye performing many of their hits on-stage-together for a one-of-a-kind experience.
The tethered Hot-Air Balloon Rides, affectionately called the “Library Lift-Off”, are being offered as a benefit for the Orangeburg County Library. The Balloonmeister for the event is Bill Whidden, who also oversees ballooning activity for the Northeast Balloon Festival that takes place in Northampton, Massachusetts each summer. The balloons will feature a Night Glow, where a half- dozen, brilliantly-colored balloons tower over the crowd, lighting up the night sky.

Anna Zacherl, Director of the Orangeburg County Library, says, “This is our second opportunity to partner with Yonder Field and we are so excited about this event. We interact with the community in many different ways and outside the walls of our branches are some of our favorite ways to meet the community members and share all the great things their libraries are doing. We currently have 6 branches and a bookmobile that is on the road most days. We are expanding the North Branch, as well as the Main Branch downtown. We want to get our resources and services to everyone in the county and the money raised in this event will help with that.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to host County Music’s legends at Yonder Field. This event will be the perfect send-off to the summer with great music and vibrant hot-air balloons. As the Orangeburg County Library is one of our beloved charitable partners, we welcome the opportunity to help raise funds and promote the great resources they bring to our county. All proceeds from the tethered balloon rides will go directly to the library. Also, It has been a great experience working with Swamp Buck Entertainment in the planning of this event and we look forward to working together again!”, says Stacie Darr, General Manager of Yonder Field.
