AIKEN, S.C. (October 9, 2018) — Savannah River Remediation (SRR) employees teed off at the Mount Vintage Golf Club, raising over $7,000 for the SRR Employee United Way Campaign, United We Stand, United We Can.

Approximately 120 employees on 30 teams set out for a day of fun for a good cause at the annual Liquid Waste United Way Golf Tournament. The event was sponsored by SRR, Jacobs, Bechtel National, local businesses, and the many fundraisers held by SRR employees.

This is a great example of SRR employees helping our neighbors in need by sending 100 percent of the money raised to the United Way, said Chad Neill, the 2018 Liquid Waste United Way Employee Campaign Chair.

“The United Way does many things that are essential in our community that we simply cannot do alone,” Neill said.
Tom Foster, SRR President and Project Manager, said the golf tournament is one of the many ways SRR makes him proud during the SRR Employee United Way Campaign.
“Every single one of us is impacted by health, education, and financial stability: The United Ways three focus areas,” Foster said. “When we work as a team, we can improve negative situations for those in our community who might otherwise not be able to unbury themselves from their hardships.”

SRR Liquid Waste Golf Tournament winners were winners were Dan Skiff, Pete Hill, Jay McDermott, and Mike Brill with low gross score, and Phil Owens, Jojo Hall, Dewayne Deal, and Tim Baughman with low net score.
SRR is the liquid waste contractor at SRS for the U.S. Department of Energy. SRR is composed of a team of companies led by AECOM with partners Bechtel National, CH2M, and BWX Technologies. Critical subcontractors for the contract are Orano, Atkins, and AECOM N&E Technical Services.
