Columbia, S.C. – Please join USDA Rural Development (RD) Acting Chief of Staff for Business-Cooperative Services David Foster, and members of the USDA South Carolina RD office for a Small Business and Farmers Rural Strong Expo being held in Richburg, S.C. on Wed., April 3, 2019. This event is being held in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Region IV Office.
Small businesses throughout the state will have opportunity to learn how to start or grow their business through programs and services offered through SBA, USDA, SCORE, the Small Business Development Center and many more resources. More than 20 resources will be on hand to assist rural entrepreneurs. The Rural Strong Team will provide information on loan programs, counseling for small businesses, access to government contracting, exporting, and more. A lender’s roundtable will take place at 12:30 p.m. following the Expo. This roundtable will focus on increasing rural small business lending. All SBA and USDA lenders and non-participating lenders are invited. The roundtable will be moderated by Ashley D. Bell, SBA Regional Administrator, and Jesse Risher, Rural Business Program Director, the RD South Carolina office. More information may be found here.
