Columbia, SC - SC Whitmore School is proud to announce that Shennice Cleckley, a Midlands entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker, will deliver the commencement address at SCWS' 2018 graduation ceremony on June 2nd.
Shennice Cleckley is a well-known entrepreneur, author and accountability strategist with Ideas Personified. She specializes in micro-business consulting, publishing and social media strategies.
"I am thrilled to be giving the commencement address at a school I have come to greatly admire," said Cleckley. "SC Whitmore provides a unique opportunity for students who want to go to school their way. That kind of "out of the box" approach to education is the future - and it is a great honor to be invited to speak to their graduates."
Shennice has 16 years of entrepreneurial experience. She is the founder of My Dessert Bar, a mobile bakery; Our Marriage Rocks, a marriage and relationship-coaching firm; and Inspire Public Relations. After a 7-year tenure as a Business System Analyst for a Fortune 100 Company, Shennice left Corporate America and returned to her hometown Columbia, South Carolina to open her first brick and mortar business, Literary Sweets Bookstore and Chocolate Shoppe. In 2014, Shennice transitioned her part-time mobile bakery into a full-time brick and mortar bakery.
After less than desirable results, Shennice was forced to close her brick and mortar bakery. Not willing to accept defeat, Shennice independently researched digital marketing and online business techniques and then transitioned her business into a full-time online mobile bakery. Since then, her business has witnessed tremendous growth and has never been better. Her success story is one of tenacity, hard work and dedication.
Shennice uses her real world experiences and formal training in marketing, sales and communication to help other business owners start-up and grow. Shennice is a graduate of Columbia College in Columbia, SC with degrees in Public Affairs and Political Science. She resides in Columbia SC with her husband LeBrian and is the mother of 4 and grandmother of 1. Shennice is a frequent speaker at business events and conferences.
The 2018 Graduation Ceremony will take place on June 2, 2018 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
