Brent Scott, PG, has joined Schnabel Engineering as a senior vice president and environmental consulting specialist. Based in West Columbia, South Carolina, he will focus on expanding the company’s environmental services within the industrial and federal markets of the Southeast.
In addition to business development, Brent is also responsible for coordinating workload and technical training with environmental service staff in other offices; client relationship and services management; senior project oversight; and mentoring.
Most recently with Cardno in Blacksburg, Virginia, Brent also lived in California and Kentucky over his 29-year career prior to the South Carolina move. He has completed program and project work for public and private clients, including the Department of Defense, the Environmental Protection Agency, state and municipal governments, industrial and manufacturing companies, and insurance and legal firms. Brent has had extensive involvement with the EPA’s Brownfields Program in North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
A graduate of Denison University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and graduate studies in hydrogeology from the University of Kentucky, Brent is a licensed professional geologist in Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, as well as being a California-registered environmental assessor.
