GREENVILLE, S.C. – SeamonWhiteside (SW+), a full-service land design firm with offices throughout the Carolinas, is proud to announce its completion of planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for the brand new Southern First Bank Headquarters located in Greenville, SC.
The new headquarters opened in late May to their employees and serves as a symbol and celebration of Southern First Bank’s focus on the future of banking. The five-story, 107,000 square-foot building, includes the bank’s flagship retail banking office, community café, park with walking trails, pedestrian-friendly plaza entrance, and well-landscaped grounds. The building also has creative and innovative spaces for employees to collaborate and engage with clients and community members.
“The most important part of this project was to create a site that embodied Southern First Bank’s mission and values, and reflected their integral role in the community as a local business,” says Caroline Donaldson, Landscape Architect at the SeamonWhiteside Greenville office. “Their foundation is based on relationship banking and forward-focused technology. They wanted a site that would maximize simplicity, efficiency, and collaboration while creating a memorable employee and client experience. Southern First Bank’s 22 years of success are attributed to the trusted relationships they built between talented employees and loyal clients. There is also a strong family culture throughout the entire organization and deep ties to the Greenville area. This project reflects all those core values.”
SeamonWhiteside worked closely with Craig Gaulden Davis, Inc., SMHa, Harper General Contractors, and Cothran Properties, LLC on this project. Through dedicated and close partnerships like these, the team was able to bring the Southern First Bank Headquarters’ master plan to a reality serving both the clients and the community for years to come.
