Melissa O. Cole is managing director of the newly opened Columbia office of Sentinel Risk Advisors, a Raleigh-based risk management and insurance firm looking to expand its footprint in the Palmetto State. Sentinel’s Columbia office is open for business at 250 Berryhill Road, Suite 513, in the Synergy Business Park. Cole leads a 10-person team of risk advisors, account and surety executives.
Sentinel opened offices in Charlotte and Winston-Salem in 2017. The expansion into South Carolina further substantiates the firm’s growing influence among businesses in the Carolinas and the Southeast.
Cole was previously with BB&T for more than a decade. A Clemson alumnus and former Division I athlete, Cole started her career as an educator in the South Carolina public school system, transitioning from the classroom to principal administration.
