Hunter joins Southern First with over 25 years in banking, beginning his career after graduating from Lander University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He later completed Banking School at Wake Forest University. Hunter has held a variety of roles from retail lending to branch management to mortgage, but the majority of his experience and expertise is in working with business clients in the Midlands of South Carolina. Most recently, he served as a Business Banker and Vice President at Truist, formerly BB&T, where he spent 22 years.

Hunter excels at developing relationships with his clients, taking the time to listen to their needs so he can tailor solutions to fit their business. He finds it gratifying when a client thinks of him first when they have financial questions big or small.
