“Super Dog Saturday” Service Animal Appreciation Day This Week at the State Museum

This Saturday, July 30, guests are invited to meet service animals and learn about the important work they provide our community.

The State Museum is partnering with Richland County Sheriff’s Department and Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS) for a special day all about service animals.

Richland County Sheriff’s Department K9 Rudy will meet guests from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and also do a demonstration at 11:30 a.m.

PAALS service animals will be on-site from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with a special presentation at 12:30 p.m.

Plus, guests who show a photo of their dog (or pet) when purchasing their ticket at the museum will receive 50% Off general admission on Super Dog Saturday!

NOTE: While service animals are always welcome at the museum, we ask you to please leave your pets at home for these events
