Columbia, SC – The Main Street District will hold its 21st Annual Meeting and Celebration on Monday, November 7 at 5:30 pm in the Bourbon Lounge, located at 1214 Main Street. Join us for food and drinks as we celebrate this year’s successes and look ahead to 2023. RSVP by Wednesday, November 2 to firstname.lastname@example.org or 803-233-0620. There is no charge to attend.
Each year, the Main Street District recognizes outstanding contributions to the district through the presentation of the Chairman’s Award. Two recipients will be honored at this year’s Annual Meeting: Phill Blair, co-owner of the Whig and First Thursday on Main board member, and Historic Columbia.
“Phill Blair continues to bring great energy into downtown with his enthusiasm for drawing people to the Main Street District. Coordinating and promoting the Jam Room festival and the Arts & Draughts series with the Columbia Museum of Art are just a few of his many wonderful endeavors,” said Sharon Bryant of First Citizens Bank and Chair of the Main Street District. “Historic Columbia was instrumental in getting the Main Street District’s historic designation, which has in turn led to millions of dollars of investments through tax incentive programs. The organization has been an outstanding partner through the years, including hosting the wonderful Main Street tours.”
