The Walsh Group names Andy Douglas Vice President of Carolinas Transportation

The Walsh Group has announced that Andy Douglas has been promoted to Vice President within its Transportation Group, and he will be responsible for oversight and leadership of projects in their North and South Carolina markets. His responsibilities will also include consultation with owners, monitoring project progress, supervision and review of management systems and staff.

Douglas has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and has been with Archer Western, a part of The Walsh Group, for three years. In his previous position as Program Manager, Douglas played a leading role in overseeing a collection of major infrastructure work in South Carolina including the I-77 Widening in Columbia and the I-85 Reconstruction in Spartanburg. Douglas' program also included the Jones Branch Connector in Tysons, Virginia and the concrete pavement replacement along I-77 in Jonesville, North Carolina. As Vice President, Douglas will also oversee the upcoming widening of I-26 in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Walsh Group is currently ranked as the fifth largest transportation contractor by Engineering News-Record and has a vast portfolio of bridge, highway and transit experience.
