Thomas & Hutton Announces Holiday Donation To Transitions Homeless Center

COLUMBIA, SC — Thomas & Hutton (T&H) made a $4,460 holiday donation to Transitions Homeless Center in Columbia, SC, as their T&H Helping Hands December service project. The financial contribution consists of individual donations from T&H’s Columbia region employees. Columbia Regional Director, John Culbreath, PE, matched donations from all participating employees.

“Together, our employees reflected on the needs of the Columbia region when considering this year’s holiday donation,” said John Culbreath, PE, T&H Columbia Regional Director. “We are in the business of designing infrastructure that supports communities. It seemed only fitting that we support an organization that cares for and advocates for those in the community that need it most.”

Transitions Homeless Center is the largest homelessness-centered organization in the Midlands, providing homeless men and women ages 18 and older access to our day center, hot meals, showers, service providers, and housing. In 2022, the City of Columbia opened Rapid Shelter Columbia, a temporary housing facility made up of 51-person units. Transitions partnered with the City on this endeavor to provide services, programming, and outreach to support the Rapid Shelter.
