COLUMBIA – Pond, an industry leader in engineering, construction, planning and architecture services, has added Tom Margle to expand Pond’s footprint for DoD, transportation, state and local government, aviation, higher education, environmental, and construction projects across the Carolinas from Pond’s Columbia, SC office.

Margle has over 35 years in civil design, heavy transportation, environmental remediation, and program management for DoD, government and commercial clients. He specializes in the planning, design, and construction of complex infrastructure projects with expertise in natural resources, all aspects of permitting, and public and regulatory coordination for pre- and post- construction.
Margle is also a licensed general contractor in South Carolina with experience with both vertical and horizontal projects.
“Tom’s extensive array of expertise and knowledge across the A/E/C services will provide Pond clients with a deep level of understanding,” says Bob Williams, Senior Vice President of Community Development. “His years of expertise will reinforce the high level of trust in the projects that he and Pond will accomplish for our clients and their user groups.”
Margle holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Citadel. He is active in professional organizations including American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Margle was a reserve US Naval Officer in the Seabees for over eight years.
