Turner Padget CEO Pierce Campbell Honored With South Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s 2019 Leadership In Law Award

Florence, S.C., March 18, 2019 – Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A. is pleased to announce that firm chief executive officer, C. Pierce Campbell, has been named a 2019 Leadership in Law honoree by South Carolina Lawyers Weekly. The award recognizes law firm leaders in South Carolina who have gone above and beyond in their professions and communities.

“Pierce has always been a dedicated leader at the firm, in the legal industry and in the South Carolina communities we serve,” said R. Wayne Byrd, shareholder and former chief executive of Turner Padget who preceded Campbell. “This esteemed recognition is further affirmation of his strong passion for the law and commitment to leading the firm into the next century of its business.”

Campbell assumed the role of Turner Padget’s CEO in November 2018 at age 39, making him one of the youngest attorneys in the state to hold a top position in a law firm. Since joining Turner Padget 15 years ago, Campbell has served as the firm’s first chief marketing officer, chair of the firm’s Business Litigation practice and as a mentor to younger attorneys. Under Campbell’s direction, Turner Padget recently underwent a rebrand and website redesign to focus on its commitment to exceeding client expectations as it celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

Campbell is based in Turner Padget’s Florence, S.C. office and oversees the firm’s seven offices and 73 attorneys. In his legal practice, Campbell counsels clients in business and commercial litigation, probate litigation, real property litigation, banking litigation and commercial collections matters. For the past 12 years, Campbell has been active in the leadership of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section of Litigation.

A life-long resident of Florence, S.C., Campbell chairs the City of Florence Design Review Board, a commission overseeing revitalization of the city’s downtown, and is on the board of directors for McLeod Health Foundation. Campbell is also past president of the Florence Kiwanis Club, an organization that enriches the lives of local children, and served as the senior warden of his church for two years.

“I am incredibly honored to have received this distinguished recognition and am grateful to lead a firm that so passionately values the practice of exceeding client expectations while also empowering attorneys to serve in their local communities and make an impact on our profession,” said Campbell. “I was proud to celebrate with the other outstanding honorees.”

Campbell earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.

Campbell was honored at the Leadership in Law event hosted by South Carolina Lawyers Weekly on March 15 in Charleston, S.C. and profiled in the publication’s March 18 issue.
