Wells Fargo Donates $100,000 to South Carolina’s COVID-19 Response

Wells Fargo Foundation made a $100,000 donation to the One SC Fund: COVID-19 Response to support the community response to COVID-19 in South Carolina. The funding will help support food, shelter, health and nonprofit sustainability needs stemming from the coronavirus pandemic. Wells Fargo is the first financial institution to donate to the One SC Fund: COVID-19 Response.

The One SC Fund is housed at Central Carolina Community Foundation to provide a collaborative statewide response to the coronavirus pandemic and is led by a coalition of funders and partners across the state.

Following are some quotes from local leaders:

“We are extremely grateful to Wells Fargo for supporting the One SC Fund: COVID-19 Response,” said JoAnn Turnquist, Central Carolina Community Foundation president and CEO. “Their financial support will allow us to maximize our impact and use our collective strengths to respond effectively to the COVID-19 pandemic in our state.”

“It’s important in times of community need that we work together,” said Susan Bankson, Wells Fargo’s South Carolina Community Affairs Officer. “We’re grateful for the leadership of local leaders and the One SC Fund: COVID-19 Response for its ability to act quickly in caring for our local residents and businesses. We hope our support provides a measure of relief as we stand with the community during this challenging situation.”

In addition, I also want to let you know that recently Wells Fargo announced up to $6.25 million in aid to support the domestic and global COVID-19 response.
